Electrical newb here...trying to wire a set of fog lights on a 2000 Blazer. The switch is a momentary switch so I'm trying to wire it using the diagram here https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relaydiagram52.html . What is the symbol on the first relay connecting 86 to 85 with the turquoise lines and black body with white stripe?

That's a diode. It's there to minimize arcing between the contacts and prolong relay life.
