I want to make it so I turn key to on position, and use a smaller momentary button wired w/ a relay to turn on the car's engine. Kind of like the Honda S2000's start button.....

I had to do this..sort of..in a friend's '98 GTi who's ignition switch failed. We basically put a huge 60A starter switch in between the starter solenoid and the positive terminal on the battery. I'd like to do this, but using a smaller momentary button...the huge 60A switch makes installing it in the place I really want it difficult...

if you want to use a small switch just use a relay, but you may need to draw more current than 1 relay will allow, you could use more than one in parallel or get a large relay that can handle the current requirements

You can use any 30/40 amp relay to accomplish what you want. We have installed lots of push button starter's with a single relay and a push button.

Please help... I need to install my alarm on my car but need to obtain the diagram that will help me find the proper wires by color & location. If anyone can e-mail me the instruction I would appreciate it... even a Scanned copy would work. Anything so I can get started on the installation of my Alarm.

I've installed an alarm on my other car (Miata) but need the instructions for my Honda S2000, 2001 model.

Thanks in advance,
Erick
