Hey fellas I'm new here.  I've searched around but haven't specifically found what i've been looking for.  I was interested in building a switch for my water pump that would shoot water to my intercooler.  I was interested in adding different timing as the switch (or pot) is turned to a higher number (kinda like windshield wipers).  Thanks guys

How are you looking to do this? Do you want to just push a button and have it spray for a couple of seconds or longer? Give some specifics.

You can accomplish this by using a 555 chip, do some research on it, you can adjust the amount of time the chip  can drive a relay by changing the values of capacitance and resistance.  It's a very common chip with lots of information on it with a little searching you should be able to find what you need.
