I need to wire my side markers so that they:

Turn ON when I turn ON my PARKING LIGHTS

are still ON with my  DRIVING LIGHTS

and FLASH with my TURN SIGNALS

First you will need two relays. For the left side wire it this way: 85 ground, 86 left turn signal wire ( the wire that pulses +12V when left turn signal is on), 30 parking light input ( wire that has +12V when parking lights are on and when headlights are on), 87A output to left marker light. Do the same for the right side.

what if you also wanted them to work with the turn signals with the lights off?

what auesx has posted above should make them flash with your signals and if you have an alarm and light flash they will flash with those.

well I wired them like he said and the turn signals would only work with the running lights on. Switched the wires and the opposite happened. So this is where I'm stuck at. It is a 1990 rodeo. What I'm trying to do is shave the turn signal /running light at the bottom and make the running light on the corner act as both turn signal and running light.

ohhhh, ok... basically what you need to do is take the wires that go to the bumper turn signals and tap the leads from the wires going to your running lights and tap them into the bumper lights... I have a '95 isuzu pickup and I have side markers that blink with my bumpers... if you want to use a relay you want to use the power from the blinkers and have them power your running and sidemarkers... I dont have time to figure out the relay outline, but I will post it tonight.

ok, there is no other easier way to do this but you need 4 relays.... kinda of a lot but you need them to have this work properly...

(1st relay on left side) 85 & 87-lower voltage blinker wire on left side; 86-ground from blinker light; 87a-nothing; 30-one side marker and/or running light.

(2nd relay on left side) 85&87-higher voltage blinker wire on left side; 86- bround from blinker light; 87a-nothing; 30-other side of marker and/or running light.

(3rd & 4th relay on right side)vise versa...

if that doesnt work let me know. good luck.

...there is other way to get this function working...this is my personal project which is called "light automation system". Basically this is an electronic module which is turning ON Head lights & Tail lamps, but after receiving signal from both, oil sensor and charge battery control lamp(alternator charge control). This function helps driver in remember about  obligation to turn ON LAMPS over the day. Such a policy works here through the half of the year. Ok, regarding to this problem, based on this module is possible to wire tail lamps by sides(independent), so they can be "overdriven" by module. Next step is to connect trigger from blinker (relay) and from  tail lamp switch (or relay(s)), or from side markers. Whatever combination is necessary or if you have any question regarding to my project(s), just let me know, i can send you connection diagram also. Modules are based not on relays and are protected. There is also possible to design SPECIAL FUNCTION electronic module, based on your specific needs....

Thanks for reading, Artur..
