ok guys, here is my problem.  I have a 96 Chevy S10 and the HVAC power is aparently a different wire than the RUN.  I didn't notice this before, but the other day I did power down or whatever (when vehicle is running, remote start takes over so you can remove your key) and the A/C cut off.  When I put the key back in and turned to run and turned the remote start back off, the A/C came back on again.  So I guess I need to use a relay on the HVAC power wire using the remote start's run or accessory wire as the trigger.  I could use the ACC wire as the trigger and then I could have cool air and the radio but not all the other crap when you turn to run.

Anyway, here is the real question.  How can I delay the activation of the relay?  I want to do a 10 or 20 second delay so that the remote start has time to start the vehicle before the HVAC comes on so that the A/C is not killing the starter motor or whatever.

THANKS!  posted_image

Ok here's what you will have to do you will need relays for ignition #2 and #3 your ignition #1 should be pink you will connect that directly  to the ignition output of the remote starter. Now if your alarm has an out put for ignition 2,as long as it's a negative output you will put that wire to pin 85, pin 86 will be positive 12 volts, pin 87 will be + 12 volts . Now pin 30 will go to the second ignition in your car this wire should be orange. Now you will wire the next relay exactly the same as the first but this will go to your ignition 3 in the car wich should be white in color or pink/white. And this will solve your problemposted_image.  Ok now your other question about the ac if you turn your acc on and you start your car with the key while it is cranking does your air turn off untill the car is running? If it does then wire all the ignitions like posted and this will solve all your problems. Your culprit wire is the orange this is what is causing the air to turn off, but even still you have to energize all ignitions to properly install this remote starter. If you dont wire all of the ignitions you may get a check engine light come on and also lose some functions on your trans as well because one of these wires is for that as well.

Note that pin 87 and pin 30 on all relays must be the same size wire that is at your ignition switch.posted_image
