I have a relay that powers remote turn-on's for 2 amplifiers. I have it wired correctly but I do not have fuses on the 12v battery side or the remote out side. My stock fuse for my radio keeps blowing, is this the reason why? Also, what size fuses would I need? Thanks for your help.

Did you run a constant wire from the battery or off the factory wire harness? Try running 10-12 guage power straight from the battery to 87, fused with at least a 30 amp fuse. Relays draw a amperage anywhere from 30 to 40 amps. Also fuse 86 stereo remote out with 5-10, I usually use 10's, depending on the radio. Hope this helps.

relays draw 30 to 40 amps? I don't think they draw that much. I have mine taking power off my amp wire and then grounded to the frame. Then I have the remote wire pluged in and the other side goes to the amps.

When I hooked up the remote start relay's there was 5 of them and they were powered off a 16 guage wire from DEI. I don't think that could handle 30-40 amp draw.
