ok i want to wire my undercar neon to my small parking light, and a switch on it, so i can turn it off when cops are around...

my questions is.. the small parking light is probably a small amprage,, my undercar neon kit has a 8 amp fuse...if i split the + wire of the parking light, one to the light, one to the neon, and add a switch on that wire, i dont think it's gonna work!!!

i have been told that i need a relay, but how can i hook it up???? What kind of relay shall i get, what kind of switch shall i get?will radio shack have everything i need??

You should use a relay in this case. IMO you should stick with a switch and not go through the parking lights at all. What you will want to do is something similar to this diagram

Where it says (-)light flash output form alarm, this will be your switch, make sure it is a negative trigger toggle. Where it says positive parking lamp wire, this will be the output to the neon. You can either use a small light and tie it to the wire going to the neon or just buy a lighted toggle switch. Also it is a SPDT relay.

still dont understand, where do you ground the transformer of the neon kitand can you provide a detailed diagram like + or - ? i dont want to spend a $150 for them to install my kit

I want to because, when i leave the headlights on, when i pull the key and leave my car, the parking light will remain on for 30 seconds it turn off, and when i press my remote unlock it will go on again! thats why i want to go this way

and what relay is that? what rating shall i get or i just go to the shop and ask for a SPDT relay then i am fine??????????

Would about wiring #87 to the constant 12volts +,  then #30 to the positve side of the transformer.  #85 goes to the positive side of your parking lights and #86 will go to a ground trigger.  The ground trigger will simply be a toggle switch with one side grounded and the other side to #86.  Make sure #87 can handle the transformer and there there is a fuse on it.    This will basically make the neons ONLY come on with the parking lights, so if you leave them on and the parking lights turn off they too will turn off.  Only down side is that you cannot turn them on without the parking lights being on.
