I did the same install and it is honking continuously. I am using the 8616 mini relay from DEI. THe max amp closed is 10 A and 20 A when open. I have a flasher installed in place to pin 30. On the flasher cover it says its rated at 12 A i think. Does it matter what type of flasher to get. What can be the problem?

ARe you catching the horn underhood or at the steering wheel? If at the wheel, you will never pull enough current to open the flasher.. you have to get it under the hood at the horn, or at least where it is a positive signal that is a high current.. the wire at the wheel is a low current one that triggers a relay..

Yea i am catching it at the fuse box which i believe drives a relay. I needed a ground signal to honk the horn. Is there a low current flasher or will I have to use another relay to drive the flasher.
