Hi,. I have an art project that I needed to shot some flame ......

I have a spark plug connected to a standard car ignition coil,. I have a ballast resistor to keep the current down also.... here comes to my problem...

I needed to use a SPDT relay to control the ignition coil so that it sparks couple times per second but not continous spark.... What should I do in order to achieve this goal?...

I have found a wiring diagram of connecting a capacitor's

- to 85
+ to 30 (with together the 12V supply )
and wired 85 and 85A together and grounded the 86

I can't make the relay to work... any help?

thanks

86 needs to be a positive trigger of some sorts. If both 85 and 86 are ground then the relay never energizes. Here is the way it should be. 85 ground, 86 switched +12V, 30 +12V, 87 Output.
