I am installing a seat heater in my 2002 Ford Explorer and I can't find a switched 12v power line to use.  Does anyone have a diagram or has done this.  I have spend 3 hours looking for a good place to power the heaters.  It needs about 5 amp/ seat.

find the wiper fuse or something, then use a relay wire the relay with fuse inline to the battery and trigger the relay off the wiper fuse, use like a 12 amp fuse, to handle surges

where did you get the heaters I want a set of those so BBBAADDD

any way just find a  fuse that has switched power use you DMM or a test light pull th fuse that you think is switched and check the terminals there is a load side and a no load side only one side of the terminals is going to power up (This is important ) only tap off the LOAD SIDE that way you wont be using the fuse that powers the other acc (wipers for instance ) then hook up a seperate fuse if the heaters are only drawing 5 amps then dont worry about the relay just use that as your power lead I know that some people disagree but it will work!

I got the seat heaters at https://www.seatcomfort.com/

They work great.  Good instructions.  The hardest part was finding 12v power.
