I was using a Bosch 0332209150 20/30A to power the lights for remote start.  Trouble is, I also wanted the fog lights to come on, and I am using constant mode not flashing so I think I toasted the relay.  Fogs are like 50 W each, then there's also all the parking lights and some interior stuff.

So I believe I need a 40A.  My main question is: This one was a 5 pin, any chance I'll find a 40 amp with the same pin layout so I don't have to change the socket too?

Comments on anything else are appreciated too.

Brian

The Bosch SPDT 40 amp relay is ISO standardized so the pin out is the same, as is any relay on the market to date for automotive applications.

You will have no problem in using the higher amperage relay to interface to your current system wiring.

You can pick up some on-line at www.allelectronics.com
