I have installed an Autopage rf-410 in a 2003 Camry.
I wired the channel 2 output (- 200mA) to a relay, which is hooked up to the trunk release(WHITE/ blue)+ wire.
alarm (-) - 85
12V + constant - 87 & 86
trunk release + - 30
When channel 2 is activated it will blow the 20 amp fuse that is hooked up to the relay.
Do I need to use a 30 or 40 amp fuse or is something else wrong?

1. If the fuse blows immediately upon activation, you have a short to ground.
ie. Dead short
2. If the fuse blows several second(s) after the fact, you have a over current condition.
ie. Current draw is too high, or the rated fuse, is too small.
If you are using the extra release button that requires a constant +12 VDC(fused) along with the alarm module.
You will wire it like this: One side of the soleniod will be grounded to the chassis / body.
The other end of the soleniods lead will enter the interior switch button. The other side of the button will be a fused +12 VDC constant power source, which will connect to pin 85 & 87.
Pin 86 connects to the alarm (-250 mA) trigger wire.
Pin 30 is tied to ground, and the (-) negative side of the interior switch.
Again, this assumes you are using the interior (extra) button as well in your installation.
There are 5 other ways to install this device. Let me know what your set up is.

3. The following is one of the ways you may install and connect your trunk release.
NEGATIVE TRUNK OUTPUT TO:
A) Negative Trunk Pop
85 = (-) Trigger from alarm CPU
86 = (+) Fused 12 VDC
87 =
30 = (-) Chassis Ground

The problem is that your trunk is a 5 wire system (as in lock type 5 wire). Wire this way: 85 (-) output from alarm, 86 constant +12V, 30 trunk release wire going to the trunk ( you have to cut the trunk release wire for this to work) 87A trunk release wire going to switch/relay, 87 constant +12V. Your trunk release wire should be WHITE/ blue.
