is 1amp diodes sufitient for relay switch ....to prevent any alectrical backflow!

i eant to radio shach and bought a 25 pack of  diodes (the salesperson gave them to me) and i see the box now and it saids "rectifier diodes" .. is there any diference between diodes. i don't want to back and returnd them or exchange them either!

i bought a 25 pack( from salesperson at radio shack) and now the i se it it saids rectifire diodes, are these for a different porpuse... or can they still block the backflow from the relay switch?

Rectification = Is the process by which a portion of an entire alternation is removed from an AC sine wave.

Rectifier: Is a circuit that recieves an AC input and through the process of rectification, produces a pulsating DC output.
