Hi, I'm wondering if there is such a relay that can 'open a switch' for a 12V lead to my power invertor in my trunk when my accessory line is powered? and close the switch when the voltage stops. these 5 pin relays should be able to do it no? if so, how?

Yes these 5 pin should work fine. Did you look at the relay page here? The links to the left? If you study it you will see what you need to do. Keep in mind that in electrical terms when a switch or circuit is open there is no juice flowing.  Im assuming you want your inverter powered up when your acc. is powered correct? Here is the link
