Will I need to install more than 1 relay, if I am using 2 sets of 55watt halogen driving lights on the front of my 1992 pontiac trans am ?

The + wires to the lights are getting real hot.

I am currently using a 30 amp relay for 2 sets of lights.

55 watt halogens draw 4.5 amps per bulb . . . so the relay should be able to handle the  18 amps required.

The present  gage of wire is # 10.

Shouldn't that size be sufficient ?!!!

If 10 gauge wire is getting hot then there may be another problem. How well is the ground to the lights?

Perfect ground to body of car. . .   (no rust or corrosion).

how old are the wires, cause if they are old they could have to much resistance thus creating all the heat through friction
