I am going to install a hardwire 3 watt cell phone in a truck this weekend. Why is there a wire that goes to the - side of the horn relay? What does it do?

Wow, you bounced around there. First, if you are installing a cellphone into a truck why the hell are you worried about the horn? The - side of the horn relay is what activates the relay and honks the horn.

He might want to hear the horn "chirp" when the phone rings but he's not in the truck to hear it.
