I have 94 Caprice with dual filament bulbs-I am converting to four headlight system. Currently there is no relay setup for the headlights-it's all high current through the headlight switch. I am adding two relay's-one for low beams and one for high beams...I am using the high and low beam power wires from the headlight switch as the triggers for each relay. They are both positive switched--I attached a vm to each lead in the plug to the bulb and got positive voltage when the headlights were turned on and high beams activated. However, the low beams are shut off when the high beams are switched on-I want to change this with my new relay setup. How do I wire the relays so that lows stay on when high's are activated?

well, you want to hook this configuration up at the light switch.

85 - ground

86- positive high beam wire when on

30- positive low beam wire when on

87- constant 12v

87a- no connection

hope this helps
