I'm tryin to do a custom pop trunk not just the old trunk release I want to be able to press a button and the trunk fully opens...but to do this I would need some type of timers or something to activate the actuators a few seconds after the lock has been released how do I do this?

It would be easier to simply use springs or gas pressured shocks / struts, then using a actuator.

Just another idea . .

Depending on your alarm you can use a validity output, so as long as you hold the button it will keep that circuit energized , most of the DEI products will have a validity out , or you can set it up on a latched relay hit the button once it lactches sending power and then hit it again to stop it, i would use validity for that. hope that helps.

goog luck

Using the validity would be an option, but it would burn the actuator out in a short time. Holding the button to activate the lifts would also hold the actuator pulling, burning the motor.
