I am having a problem arming my alarm because the turbo timer is still sending 12v to the ignition wire.
What I want to do is use the key sense wire to switch 12v power to a citrcuit to simulate the ingition wire for the alarm.
There would be a constant ground and then the switched 12v power for the relay, switching to constant and turned on when the key sense wire is activated.
I believe right now the key sense wire when open has no ground and when the key is in turns to ground. Shouldnt this work either way if the key sense is 12v when the key is in the igntion?
I was talking to the guy who installed my alarm and the problem he was running into is the fact that the key sense doesnt have a ground when the circuit is open. Also he said something about a circuit that would pull any power when the key sense is open so as not to drain the battery.
anyhelp would be appreciated. Please keep in mind that I know nothing of electronics and need things explained in more detail..

i just did a remote start on an r33 skyline.. manual, turbo, and a pain in the *ss!! wired in a relay for the 12 volt supply on the shock sensor from turbo timer so that while timer was on the alarm wudnt go off... the way its wired, when i remote start the car while running then take out the key.. the timer then takes over and alarm can be armed.. with the relay on the shock sensor it wont go off unless the doors are opened.. (instant trigger) dont know if urs will work the same way... the day after i did this install i found

only need 1 for shock sensor... cut the 12 volt feed to it!!
cutting the 12 volt to the shock would work, but i did that one time and the shock sensor seemed to change sensativity on me. just barely though. it kind of pissed me off. that's why it has a constant power. but it's up to you.
If you are using a GReddy turbo timer, then there is a much easier way that will still allow the functions of all of the alarm's sensors, also including the starter kill, and ignition interupt circuits. You can do it by using only one relay on the 12v+ ignition feed into your alarm... email me fo rthe schematic... I did this in my Talon with a Clifford G4, InteliStart, and a GReddy turbo timer. I have done this same install many times over for the folks in my local DSM club. It is an easy four wire hook up with low current 12volts from your ignition circuit. I have tried this same setup on HK$ turbo timers and I have found that the GReddy is the only model this will work on. Let me know if this will help you

I am using a Blitz FATT with an HKS wiring harnesss and a clifford alarm. Would this work?
