Does anyone know how to wire into the actual door triggers for a F250 or 350.  If you use the door trigger and then your remote start shuts off the alarm will go off because the dome light comes on.  So I need to isolate them from the dome light wire.  I tried the door switch but it is ground when closed and nuetral when opened so using relays to trigger doesn't work because the relays are clicked on the entire time the door is closed.  Any help?

Thanks

Jim

When necessary I use a pulse timer set for as long as the domelight stays on to break the domelight connection to the alarm module. Make it so the pulse timer activates anytime the ignition is turned off. The ignition wire rests at ground so that will be your negative to activate the timer.

That is a good idea, but then your alarm is not going to trigger during that time frame.

I think being unprotected during that 30 seconds or so is worth the chance rather than having the alarm going off everytime. To me that's the same as saying you should use the door triggers instead of the domelight wire because the car is unprotected for the small amount of time before the dome light goes out and the alarm arms. Either way just a suggestion see what everybody else has to offer. Good luck let us know how you make out,

What type of alarm do you have? I don't know of any alarm that does that.

The alarm doesn't do it the truck does it.  Like the other guy said anytime the ingition is turned off the dome light comes on which then triggers the alarm.  I know there is a way to tap into the GEM but I don't know what wires to tap into and where they are.

What wire are you tied into now, color specifically? The whole off thing was confusing me, as in the alarm turning off.

just an idea ,i havent really thought this one out yet but food for thought. take your dome light wire and break it with a relay while the remote start is running , tie it in with with your ground when armed . and didode isolate them  from the alarm and car,  here is what i see

85 ign output from r/s +, 85ground while armerd, 30 door trigger to bcm,87door trigger to dom light, the diodes should prevent it from triggering the alrm when the remote start auto shuts down , but i could be wrong mayby some else can work off of this to help you out,

good luck
