I finally got my 530t hooked up and everything works great. (Thanks to everyone in the security section for helping out
) I thought the module was supposed to roll up the windows if the alarm went off....but I just learned now that it's not required to do that. So.....
Can I request a relay setup on how to do this? Can't I just attach a relay to the siren output, and somehow trigger the orange wire of the 530t? I'm still new to relays...but I'm getting there . Thanks if you can help me out!
No you can't do it that way otherwise everytime you arm and disarm the vehicle the windows will try to roll up. What you can do is attach a relay to the trigger wire of the impact sensor you have so that if the impact is hard enough it will detect this with the trigger wire and roll up the windows. Depending on the trigger polarity you will need one relay for sure.

If you tie into an impact sensor or any other sensor for that matter, you will need an additional relay to prevent it from rolling up the windows while the key is in the on position or while you're driving. If you disable the siren chirps (arm/disarm) and the alarm has an output when armed, then you could have them roll up when the alarm is triggered.....
... but why not just have the windows roll up when you arm the alarm in the first place?
yea i mean most alarms have a negative and some type of possitive signal also most window rollups have a sensor inside that can determine when the window is up or down so even if windows are up and you set it up to activate when car is armed than the internal windows roll ups sensor will know not to do anything.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
also you can do what you stated with the alarm horn thing if the window roll up mod accepts negative trigger you will just have to change from possitive to negative with one relay posted at
www.relayapps.com a part of 12volt, and yes everytime you go to arm and dissarm the system the window roll up will try to engage but liek i said there should be a sensor inside of module to tell it to shut off.

Well, yea, I got that part....but I'm just thinking for
the times that I want to leave the windows vented/open,
and if something happens and the alarm goes off, I want
them to roll up.
hhmmmm, confusing. sounds like i can use the shock
sensor, but then not.
so, I guess i couldn't do something like this?
- 85.......ground
- 86.......siren input
- 87.......ground
- 87a......orange wire from alarm
- 30.......to window module up trigger
well there is another thing you can do , you can wire the module to the siren, and set the siren so that only the lights flash when you arm /disarm system all you have to do is add a relay and change the possitive source from siren to a negative source for window mod. i mean in my car it is set at active mode where i have to physically arm the system with remote and my window mod makes windows go up, and then down by remote.
now with you it will work cause you siren is only going to go off when the alarm is going off , whats sucks is unless you have a negative trigger on the remote that you can spare than you will not be able roll up windows when you want. but if you do than you can change from possitive to negative using relay. for alarm output window roll up and you can have the second trigger roll up =windows by using two diodes. one on each negative sourse into the window module
ex: horn----|diode|-----window mod (first wire connected)
trigger---|diode|--- window mod so you will have two wires connecting to the negative wires from either two or four window mod. and you will not have to worry about one conflicting with the other.
