Hi guys, I'm putting together a starter kill module. I never could buy a kit from a local autostore. So I'm using 30amp (12V) relay. There's a diod between 86 and 85 pins. Is this 1 amp diod or not? If it's I guess I can buy it from Radioshack. Appreciate your help.

listen most of the time you dont need a diode its only those weired alarms so what you can do is try it right away now another way to hook up the relay is this

pin 85 output negative of alarm

pin 87a and pin 86 tap together that is the key side of starter kill

pin 30 output to motor side of starter wire do it like this if you dont want to use the diode and this way there is now way to get feedback in the alarm because the starter wire only shows possitive when you go to start the car.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
