I just got some neons and i was wondering what i should do to hook these guys up. The closest thing i have done to work on my car is put led's in the doors and install a lit toggle switch for my amp. I dont understand this concept of a relay, and do i need a fusebox or something when hooking up my neons? Is there a way i could use the empty spots on my currect fusebox for my neons so i can have all the fuses in one place? Thanks a bunch guys.

What kind of neons? The ones that I install are Street Glow "Gold line series" all you have to do with them is hook up the transformer to 12volts(fused) and connect the neons to a toggle switch and ground it.

Sound Pressure
You know you have the right amount of pressure when your eyes start to water! Now you've got Juice!
ok thats one way but if you have anyother neon set than light glow you can do this its simple if you have a tester take a normal 5 pin relay like bosch
here is how to connect.
pin 85 ground (chassis)
pin 86 possitive wire from a toggle switch. ( can be low current)
pin 30 output wire to all of the neons .
pin 87 to a 10amp fused ignition wire meaning , take a light tester and go by your key cylinder and poke the wire and what you are looking for is one that only shows pos 12 when the key is in run possition. and when you turn the key off it will stop showing. 12 pos. this wire is usually thinker than the other just make sure you have one that only turns pos when you turn key and shows either nothing or neg when key is off. and this wire connects to the 87 pin of a relay this is your high current wire fuseit . 10 amp fuse per relay. and this will be ok for you. take a toggle and you got the through which can be pos or negative and in lighted toggles, you have to give a pos source to the toggle and a negative source look on switch and figure which goes where and the output wire from toggle to pin 86 of relay.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
instead of goin to the ignition wire, could i just goto the battery, i think i undersstaand that i prolly might leave my lights on in my car, but could this be done in this manner. Also my plan is eventually to have 4 15" neons and 2-4 9" neons...yeah i know i'm a waste. Also these are the streetglow optix from bestbuy. Thanks alot.

Yes, you could go to just battery, but then you risk draining your battery (especially in daylight). Everything else shoudl work just fine. Good luck, let us know how it comes out.

alright, as far as actually "pin 86 to a toggle switch" how do i wire that up? do i like take apart the fusebox or wha? i haven't actually played around with my fuse box much so i'm not sure if it is something i'll understand when i get in there and play wit it. Another thing is i have a fuse box in the engine compartment as well as one actually inside the car. I"m not sure if i should be concerned or is this normal. Sorry for not k nowin, i seriously appreciate all this.

hadji_85 ,
how did you get your amp switch to light up when it is in the "on" position? i just installed a switch for my amp and it doesn't light up in the "on" postition. i wired the remote output from the hu to the switch and then to the amp.
