Does anyone think that they can come up with a relay diagram that will flash a group of LEDs at 2 selectable speeds, 10htz and 14htz?
Basics: must use 12.6-14.4, must use a momentary switch to activate, and must be relatively small.
If anyone one wants more details as to why PM.

Oh and where the hell has evilTeken been at?

Ha I know why posted_image (I bet your driving infrared LEDs too)

What kind of components do you want to use? only with parts you have? relays and such arnt very great for this purpose because of the turn on delays and switching speeds... If you want small it can be done with one microcontroller, if you want common parts its a little more design.

PM me if you want some designing, I really would rather not give a design people could abuse...

I agree. I just want to play around with it. No intention of actually using it. Damn curiosity.

Even if I where to use it, I would contact my companies law enforcement liason to find out what could come about it. Haven't found anything out online.

Just out of curiousity are you guys talking about an infared LEDs to black out license plate views for police cameras?  Sorry if Im completely off, I've just heard something about this and its the most illegal thing I can imagine with infared LEDs.  If Im far off Im still curious maybe PM me with the abusive purpose you spoke of (I promise Ill be good, lol)

Has nothing to do with license plates or anything like that. Also the legalities are still up in the air on this one in alot of the states.

I know what it is too- here are the spec'd frequencies 13.9993 to 14.0972 Hz
9.6002 to 9.7182 Hz

Tried it with a sweep oscillator in the higher band. Worked, but at a very short range. Not worth the time for me, as I have the conventional method already- legally for me.

That is awesome. Nobody pays any attention to the relay forum but when people get curious it goes insane.

Well of course, relay forum = relatively boring, illegal use of infared LEDs = all kinds of fun.

There is nothing illegal about infared leds.

Also I never said anything about any type of led.
