*I've spent some time searching the board but couldn't find the answer to this anywhere*

I have a Traction Control switch on my 2004 GTO that is a "normally open circuit" or so I've been told. That is, the traction control on the vehicle is always activated unless I push the button to deactivate it.

Is there a way through relay/s I can reverse this so it's is always off and I have to activate the switch to turn the traction control on?

Thank you in  advance.

The Botak

What is the difference?

You still have to push the button.

You can use a relay to do the job but, you need to find out if it is Normally OPEN 100% or not.

I don't like the TC on at all times because it's activated at the strangest of times. The slightest break in traction and I lose power under my feet for a split second. This is frightening, believe it or not.

I understand your point of having to push the switch either way, but I'd rather have the TC off everytime I start the vehicle and drive like this, rather than have it on. I don't mind having to turn the TC on when need be, but I live in a climate that ses maybe one week of inclimate weather a year so I rarely if ever need it.

I've checked with GM and the local dealership and they have assured me 100-percent that it's a "normally open" circuit.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Just put a Toggle Switch across the Normally Open Terminals.

or just push the button everytime you start the car... seems like more work to do then just tapping a fricking button
