i've got some these bosch relays, is it necessary to put a diode between terminal 85-86? i wonder if these relays already have a diode protection inside it.

If the relay has a diode you will be able to see it.

does the bosch relays have built in diodes? i doubt they would stick it outside the housing. anybody knows? just curious.

some bosch relays have the diode inside them, most don't.  they may have a supression resistor instead.  usually bosch molds/imprints the case with the components inside the relay.  look for the schematic diagram of a diode on them.  hope this helps.
