Installing about 4 LEDs in my car, and want to control them with a switch. So, do I need any diodes ( don't believe need to isolate anything ) or relays for this installation, or is it ok to just zap the power directly from a 12v source ( such as the 12V constant in the ignition harness ). If a relay is required, a schematic for connecting relays, with the LED's in parallel, would be appreciated.

So in my basic 4 LED circuit, should I have a fuse. If so, how would I calculate what fuse that I need.

1 amp should be fine. LEDs use very little current, approximately 30mA on most of them. 4 of them are still using less than 1/8 of an amp.
