I have an Audiovox/Prestige alarm, I think its model aps155ch, its got the 3 button remote. Lock, Unlock, Option
So i'd like to setup option to be a remote trunk release, is that possible? Its a Civic Ex, I have a relay from an old commando alarm from an old car, I was told that might work? What specifically am I looking for on the module?
Secondary question, i'd like to know if theres a way to adjust the sensitivity on my alarm, I work near an airport and the airplanes set the alarm off constantly. I like the security aspects of having the alarm sensitive, but not THAT sensitive.
Lastly, has anyone heard of alpine coming out with a bluetooth ai-net unit? or a way to hook another unit up to my aux in? I have the cell mute option, but dont want a big bulky proprietary car kit.
Thanks a bunch for all your time, i'd appreciate any assistance.
Matt

i haven't heard that about alpine, but they are always late on releasing infomation, so who knows.. as far as ajusting you will have to look in your manual, if the alarm has an external dual zone or single zone shock sensor then there should be a screw on it that you can rotate to adjust the sensitivity, if not then there might be something like this on the alarm unit it'self,, third it might be a programable one, a lot of alarms (maybe not yours) will have you hold down the unlock for like ten secons and then thump the car with your hand to learn the hardness you want the sensor to be at,, umm the trunk release is possible and easy, IF you have a power trunk release, but i dont' think civics do... so you would need to go out and buy a trunk release solinoid, something that can pull the latch in the back, then you could use a relay to open it very easily ------------- Bad Boys Customs

as much as i HATE ebay,, https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7969447201&category=33656 this is what you would need, you dont' have to hook up the buton if you don't want (you already have a trunk release in your car)... but you could wire it to a relay,, put 86 and 87 to 12 volt, 85 to your output from the alarm, and then hook the trunk solinoid up to 30,, ------------- Bad Boys Customs
