I am trying to diagnose a horn that does not sound on a 1994 Cavalier. The "courtesy" fuse, as indicated in the owners' manual as covering the horn, is good. I have put the horn direct to the battery and it sounds, so I know the horn works. Next, I took the red wire off the button and directly grounded it to the steering wheel bolt and nothing happened. Maybe nothing should happen, but I thought it should make some sort of contact. That leaves the horn relay, which was actually my first target as causing the problem, but I couldn't find it, so I looked elsewhere. Anyway, I have been to the Chevrolet dealership and the troubleshooting in their manual covers all that I have done, and leaves me with the relay. I have purchased the relay, but I'm back to finding out where it is. The manual at the dealership wasn't much help with that aspect of it. So, that's my question. Where do I find the horn relay on the 1994 Cavalier?

unshure of where the relay is,but i would find out what color the wire is after the clocksping in the steering colum, most likely black, and throw groun to it. If the horn sound the culprit may be the clockspring is partialy bad. If the SRS light is on the clockspring is most certinaly bad.
