bought this piece off of ebay...claims it is a variable time relay, from 2 to 60 seconds...just thought it was something I should have, in case I may have some use for it sometime...but I got nothing but the piece and have no idea how to hook it up...

there are 6 wires to be hooked up, and one loop...the loop is a lighter gauge blue wire, about 18 ga, and it just comes out and loops back in to the board...

then there is a Black wire, a Black wire with a white stripe, a Red wire, an Orange wire, a Brown wire and a Yellow wire...these are all like 16 or 14 ga...

can anyone help me with a diagram?

thanx in advance...

Big Purds

I belive you are refering to a 528t, if not the wire colors are probly the same.

The blue loop is left connected for neg. triger. cut for pos. triger.Red-fused 12volts,Black-ground,Black w/ white trace-triger input,Yellow-common,Brown-Normally Open, and Orange- Normally closed. The timer is adjustable to 2 seconds counter  clockwise and 90 seconds clockwise.

OK...some of this is making sense...what do you mean by yellow = common?

this is a much older piece, mfg date of July/95...just a 60 second timer, not a 90 second timer...mebbe the predecessor of the 528T...

anyone tell me what is being referred to as common here?

I make sense of everything else now (I think) but that damn yellow wire is confusing me...anyone have a wiring diagram for a 528T?

thanx...

dljbrla...you did not leave me an email address for me to mail to...

donsmith, that relay and the relay which I am talking about are in two different categories...mine is a timed relay and I need a COLOR diagram as well so that I may figure out how to wire it up...

thanx,

Big Purds
