but no wiring diagram .   I am not completely stupid but, I need help.

the window kit has only two wires    ground & power--which i put in the fuse box

where & how do I wire in the relay and what does it do??

For this answer I'm assuming that your power window kit came with switches for the windows, and the power and ground wires you mentioned run to the switches.

1. Look in your car's fusebox for the fuse that would normally be used for power windows(the owner's manual should document which one it is). If there is a terminal in that location that shows 12v+ with the key in "run" then you can run your power wire to there. If not, skip to step 3.

2. If there is a power window fuse there, you can run your power wire to the cold side of it(the one that does NOT show 12 volts without the fuse in). If there is just a terminal, no fuse, then put an inline fuse on your wire between there and the switches.

3. If there is no fuse or terminal, you'll use the relay. Here's how to wire it:
85 - chassis ground
86 - accessory switched 12v+ wire on the car
87 - 12v+ constant(you can get this from the battery, make sure you use (what else) an inline fuse.
30 - power wire to window switches
87a - not used

4. The ground is pretty self-explanatory - screw it to clean bare metal like any other ground.
