Here's the situation. I have DRL's on my '05 Galant, which drives me nuts. I want to convert it so that the lights are off until I switch the switch to "on". This is no problem for me. The car has ECU's everywhere, and the negative signal off of the switch is coming from an ECU inside of the switch. I did a test hook up, and it seems to drive both relays fine, but how do I know I won't burn up the ECU in the switch?
For the record, Mitsubishi has each headlight on a separate fuse, so I ran a relay to each headlight. All I did was use the headlight switch as a trigger to connect each headlight wire together.

no it will not the coils in the relays are very low amparge and won't hert it. and the diode will protect the rest.
