hi... first post, please be gentle.

i'm working on a motorized lcd lift in 2004 ford f150 supercrew.  i am completely lost when it comes to figuring out how to control it.  i would like to activate the lift from a momentary pushbutton switch on the dash.

this is what i think i would like to do:  push the button on the dash and the lift goes up until it reaches a limit switch which turns it off, then push the button on the dash a second time and it reversed polarity so the lift will operate in the other direction until it reaches a second limit switch.

so, how many, what type, and how do i wire the relays/switch/limit switches to accomplish this.

also, anybody know where i can get an attractive flush mount switch for this?

thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

thanks for your help john,

question:  how would i make this work with one pushbutton switch on the dash???  it looks like your drawing requires two switches (alarm switch & trunk switch).  but i would like to use just one switch...  think eject button on a cd rom drive...  push it once and the drawer opens, push it again and the drawer closes.

thanks,

lish
