I am trying to hook up a neon lighting system to shine on my amps and I would like to hook it into my alarm so I can push the EXT-1 on my remote and the lights will turn on. Press it again and the lights turn off. I have a older Alpine 8040 alarm and the EXT-1 is a (-) Negitive output. Thanks

You need a latching relay. Read this. You can also use this.
