What system are you using ? Here's the relay diagram that you will need: Latched On/Off Output Using a Single Momentary Pulse ------------- Jeff

i did this exact same thing with my truck. First thing you need to do is check with your alarm system. Is it stock or aftermarket? IF its aftermarket check and see if can be programmed for latching, pulsed, or timed relays (this is what mine does). If it DOESNT have any of these options and its aftermarket, then start there. If its NOT an aftermarket than it might be more of a challange, but it still can be done. Another thing you will need to check (aftermarket or not) is if the trunk release button goes to ground or sends power, you can usually find this information either in your manual if its an aftermarket system, or probably some sort of wiring diagram for your vehicle that you can find online or at the dealership.
Either way a normal good ole' radio shack SPDT relay for about 5 bucks, some wiring necessities, and a little bit of time will get you going. Wiring it up really isnt that hard, it just takes time. It takes longer to run and hide your wires than it does to find and hook everything up.
As far as the actual wiring setup, its pretty self explanotory...just read the wiring diagram on the packaging of the relay (differant setups if trunk release is power or goes to ground). If your new at this and dont understand the wiring aspect of it, check out the relay wiring diagrams on the forum, or just find out all the information i listed above and then post it back on here, im sure somebody will help you out for sure.

after i got done typing this i found this link in this same forum

scroll down to the fourth or fifth post, you cant miss the wiring diagram.
if your system is stock or aftermarket with no programmability options, this is probably what your going to have to go with as far as wiring goes. A lot more than one relay like i mentioned before, but i only had to use one relay for my system because its programmable.
Anyway, good luck
