i would like to use a motor from a headlight lifter to make my rear numberplate rise up and down. in behind the numberplate i was thinking about mounting a halogen light that came on when the vehicle was put into reverse but am not sure on the wirng of the relays that would be needed.

I have used the motors out of eletronic car heaters for motorising .These are great as they have a ton of torque ,small, queit and dirt cheap. They have built in limit switches .I have motorised licence plates, spot lights etc .. with these and they work like a dream .
