If I press a momentary contact switch to send a signal, how do I turn that signal into one that lasts 3 seconds ?

You should be albe to reprogram the alarm to provide you with this pulse. Go to www.relayapps.com for the right way to hook up your relays. Just keep clicking next until the vacum door lock circuit comes up. Good luck. Brian

Hi Brian,

Many thanks for the link to relayapps.com - the diagram is perfect.

However, for my lock/unlock switch I wish to work it independently of my alarm system(which has the 3second pulse).

How do I create the 3 second pulse from the momentary contact switch ? Where would I get the necessary parts from ?

DEI sells what u need "pulse generator" it is programmable with dip switches to control how long you want it to pulse.
