Hey Guys,
My reversing light switch seems to working around the wrong way. When you put it in reverse the reversing lights go off and when you put it in any other gear or neutral the lights are on. Just wondering if i could use a relay to fix the problem?
So basically when the switch lets power thru turn off the lights and when it doesnt let power thru (when it is in reverse) turn the lights on?
Any quick assistance is appreciated.
Cheers

Ok my first attempt didn't post for some reason So here we go again. find the reverse wire, cut it in half. The side coming from the switch goes to pin 85 of the relay. Find an igition controlled +12v source that goes to pin 87a. 86 gets grounded. and finally pin 30 gets hooked up to the other side of the reverse wire. you'll just have to make sure the relayy clicks off when you shut the car off other wise the battery may go dead overnight. If the relay doesn't click off then wire up another relay as follows. 85 to the ignition controlled +12v source. 86 to ground. 87 goes to pin 86 of the first relay. Finally ground pin 30 and that will take care of turning off the first relay. Good luck. Oh and make sure you fuse the +12v source.

No problem. Though you might want to consider having the neutral/reverse switch checked out since there is obviously something wrong with it.
