Hello,
I'm trying to design a wireless system to drive a motor using the vehicles 12vdc power source. I am finding plenty of transmitter / receiver units of interest to our design, but I'm having a couple of problems which need to be worked out prior to ordering.
First of all, our motor is reversible, by switching polarity to the 2 leads. I am assuming a DPDT relay should do the job, but is there another way to go about the connection? I would like to have a 2 button remote to power the motor in each respective direction. Is there any way to use 2 relays to achieve this goal?
I will need relays and boards capable of withstanding 15Amps, so it is likely that 20A relays would be perfect. Do you guys have any recommended receiver boards built with the correct relay setup for this application?
Lastly, can I utilize pac-audio's TR-4 for a 1 second time delay between forward / reverse operation, to reduce stress on the motor? Is there a more preferrable unit?
Thanks for the help
if your controlling one motor you can go to www.selectproducts.com and get an actuator controller. it will allow you to control and stop a motor is a certain possition as well as having one wire open and close the motor. this device can be controlled by any after market alarm. keyless entry system. etc.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
They certainly don't have much information posted on that device, especially for $85.
So far I've found Tx / Rx systems that are close to our application for around $25 for the set, I'm simply having a problem with the relay wiring for the motor
