would i really need to fuse all of the output wires in a setup like https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp #5? or would just the one fuse from the 12v source be sufficient?

just to be safe fuse both the 12v source and the output. you dont realy need to fuse the output but like i said you might wana do it just to be safe

Each device you run off that relay should be fused, just like the diagram shows.

Protect your gear & vehicle. Fuses are cheeeeeeeep insurance, man. Consider this ... suppose you are running a few fans, like the diagram shows. One fan fails - dead short. If the only fuse in place is the one supplying the relay on the 87 leg, then EVERTHING else dies too - all the other fans. Now your amp overheats & it starts to act up & eventually dies as well ... maybe even sets your car on fire! All because a silly fuse was not put in place.
