I bought the DF005 relay from autozone to do the radio on until door open mod. But it is working the opposite way as it should. I have to start with the door open and to get the radio to turn off, I have to shut the door.

I am wondering if the layout of is different than the ones shown on the diagrams here.

Thanks

sounds like your vehicle has positive doorpins.  What is the make/model/year?

that's the only make I can think of off the top of my head that uses positive doorpins

My car is a 2005 Nissan Altima. If it does have positive door triggers, how would I get around that??

Either that, or could it be that one of the relays is not working properly???? But it does do what it's supposed to, except in the opposite order.

that car should have negative door pins

your post made it sound as though you're only using one relay; if that's the case you should be using two or three depending on whether or not you're isolating the radio from the rest of the accessory circuit.

if you are using the correct setup, perhaps you had inadvertently connected the wire from terminal 86 on the left-hand relay to the 87 terminal instead of 87a on the right-hand relay?  that would have the result you're describing.

I'm using two relays as the diagram states to do. I followed it and I don't think I wired it incorrectly, but I will check it again to make sure.

I just noticed that the relay I am using does not have and 87 and an 87a........they are both 87's, and the little diagram on top of the relay has both 87's connected together, so it is basically the same point. I am guessing that is why my setup is working in the opposite direction.

Ok, I finally got the whole situation resolved. I was able to find the (-) Door Trigger for the RF door (pnk/blue) and got that hooked up fine. I was not able to find the (-)Door Trigger for the LF door, so I just spliced a wire to switch at the door, and it works fine now.

It was working reversed because I had the wrong relays; I went and purchased the correct ones, and now it works correctly. Thanks everyone for all of your help.
