How long does it take for the 10k resistor to bleed off the caps charge ?

You can increase the output time by simply changing the value of the capacitor. This one will give you about a 1/2 second output.

The time is right, I used a 2200uf cap.

But it takes long for the cap to discharge, over 30 seconds.

So when I activate it, I have to wait 30 seconds or so before I can activate it again.

Will changing the resistor do anything ?

Lowering the resistance will allow for a faster bleed off time.
