Hello. Im new and am having some trouble wiring my electric waterpump up with a relay, led, and toggel switch. What im wanting to do is be able to cut my electric water pump on with a toggel switch and have a led come on letting me know that the water pump is on. The reason i want to use a relay is that the water pump draws 8 amps and I feel that that may be alot on a 2 buck toggel switch. Can someone please explain or draw a diagram on how to wire this up and what relay to use? I have tried but cant seem to get it to work. I tried just straight wiring it through the switch and then the led inline and it worked but with the resistor on the led it was limiting the power going to the pump to 4.8 volts and the pump was barely turning over. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to add that the water pump has a power wire and a ground that just grounds to the body ground.
