Hi...

Sorry for asking such a simple question but this one is bothering me.

I want to install some relays for power locks. However, the only thing I have installed so far in my car is a new stereo, amp and speakers. When suppling a +12V to the amp, I ran a seperate wire from my battery. For these relays, can I get the +12V from some where else in the car instead of a direct connection to the battery?

Thanks,

Tom

You can take it from any power source that is fused with at least 15 amps.  I would recommend taking it from the ignition harness with a fifteen amp fuse inline.  Also what will be controling the relays, 3 position switch, alarm, momentary switch?

Thanks for your reply

The relays will be controlled from a Clifford Arrow 3 Alarm. Does this change where I should take my +12V from?

Thanks
