ok i dont know a whole lot about relays but i know why i need one, current draw to high for a normal switch. I need help on how to wire somthing up.

what i want to do is run a 12 volt accesory and it needs to have an activation switch, and momentary push button. so i need a toggle to turn the system on and once its armed/activated (not running) a momentary to complete everything and make it turn run while the button is pushed in. sorry if the explnation was confusing if it was let me know and ill try to clear it up and thanks in advance for any help...

A little confusing but I think I understand what you want.

A switch provides power to the circuit. Then a push switch in series with the power switch to activate it when a door or trunk is closed. then power is switched on to the main load.

My Design both switches in series will cause the relay to activate.

Your Design will work if you put a Hot to one of the switches and a ground to the other.

Guys, please limit the width of your images to 640 pixels wide. Thanks!

So what you are telling us is to post pictures that are so small you can't see details.

Why does it matter anyways.

I moderate other boards and I have never limited pictures to a small size.

640 pixels wide is plenty. Many of the images you guys posted in this thread had more white space than content. The image below is 640 pixels wide.

Going too far beyond this as you have in this thread makes for unfriendly browsing for people viewing at 1024x768. All you needed to do was crop your image instead of including white space that accounts for more than half the image width.
