I want to add lights to my tailgate so when I pop the truck they turn on. I have a pigeon switch installed already and I have the lights turning on when the tailgate pops. But I want to put a momentary switch that would turn them off, but when the pigeon switch is depressed and release again the lights will turn back on.

would the diagram of the second post work if the door trigger is the momentary switch
