if i needed to power up a sat radio and the volts are say  6 how do i wire up the relay to give me 12 volts...

To do it in a real DIY way, you would need a voltage regulator (can be purchased at Radio Shack).

However, PAC makes an aftermarket module for this already if you would like to use it instead. You can find more information on it here:

lets see how can i put this i now about the regulators best buy has a hitchiker that does the same thing my problem is say the new tahoes how do i hook up a relay to the pink wire in the green plug at the bcm is it

87= 12 volts fused

86= ground

30= sat radio

85= 12 volt ignition (pink wire)

what kind of sat radio are you putting in? most of the new ones we sell run off 6 volts and giving them more than that usually makes them shut down. if it is a 6 volt turn on you will need to use the plug that comes with the unit cuz it usually has a regulator built into it.
