Hello,

I am having a problem with some custom wiring in my car... The problem is with the OEM wiring it has 2 different bulbs... One high, one low... Well I put in a new set of headlights that only have one bulb with both functions (dual filament)... This new bulb is essentially the same wiring as an H4 (its actually a Japanese H4H bulb)... Well the way I have it wired now is I cut off both connectors on my stock wiring, and spliced the single connector on... Everything works and functions, but the problem is both filaments are lit up at the same time so its over heating the bulbs and melting the connectors...

So what I need to figure out, and what I hope you guys can help me with is a simple schematic so I can wire in a relay that when I turn on my high beams, it turns off the low beam wire... Basically now its got 3 wires, a common ground, a + for the highs and one for the lows... It should be a simple circuit, but for the life of me I cant figure it out... Any help is appreciated...

I meant to say that they are both lit when the high beams are on... When the high beams are off, only the low beams are on... Hope that made sense...

If you want one relay for each light you could mount a relay on each side near the Headlight.
