Hey,
I'm looking at installing 4 headrest monitors. I would like them to power up once I turn on my dvd head unit. I just wanted to confirm this with someone.

By the looks of this diagram this should give constant power to the screens once the HU is turned on. Am I wrong to say that the power for the screens comes off of the 12V and not the remote wire and the remote wire is just used to "power on" the relay right?

Wiring the relay as the pic shows will serve your needs well. As to your question, i would say you are using the relay to power the tvs, the trigger is only activating that relay.
