Ok please can someone help me.. i have these honda civic mirrors that flip in and out.. but i dont know how to wire them up. i know theres two wire + and - but when you touch the + to the battery and ground out the - they open.. and when you switch the wires they close up.. i wanna know how can i wire them to my e-break when i pull the e-break up i want then to flip in and when i let it down i want them to flip out.. i know i have to use some relays and getting these relays isnt nothing i can get them.. but i dont know how to wire them up or how to wire the relays. can someone help me asap. And if i have them wire up.. i was thinking if the car was off and they stayed on would that drain the battery or it has no affect? please someone help me thanks andy

You can not do it the way you want with the e-brake. The reason is that as long as the e-brake is on, the relays are energized (hence draining your battery ). The only way you can do this is with a latching relay along with two other relays ( flip flop relay configuration ). I had the mirrors from a HDM Integra XSi that I put onto the Velocity Integra & I used two channels on my alarm to control the flip flop relays. I had the wires from the alarm set to latched and it worked like a charm.

would there be any way to wire them up to fold in when the car is armed and out when the car is disarmed? I ahve similar mirrors and I have a clifford arrow 3 alarm system I will be installing shortly. I would rather they not be on seprate channels but fold in and out with the alarm arming and disarming

thanks

Would'ent you just have to lift the ground ta the relay when lever is up there by letting them in N when lever is down     >ground does contact along with the hot motoring out till the in mirror stop sw.??  doubel pole on lever  singel pole relays  aa_hhhh_a  utilize the relays ground as <wouldent the hot still be there telling em go out, but how can you go out without the (-) connection  hot still be there except when ign is off????. Just a Guess
